Poshan Mah: ICDS Kishtwar holds awareness event at AWC Lower Malipeth

An awareness programme under the aegis  of Poshan Maah was today organised here at AnganWadi  Centre Lower Malipeth.The Camp was held on the directions of the District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara and under the overall supervision of  Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Pawan Parihar who is the District Programming Officer ICDS.The ICDS team made the participants aware regarding Balanced Diet, early childhood Immunization,and prevention against COVID -19 was held.On this occasion, CDPO, Iffat Ara ,Health and Nutrition Mobilizer Mohsin Nisar, Supervisor Manzoor Fatima, concerned AWW and AWH besides locals  recorded their  presence.The officials informed the participants  about the importance of celebrating poshan mah and the importance of a nutritious diet or balanced diet. They were informed about the  monitoring of the side effects of malnutrition, and other  health and hygiene issues  in their daily life.Anganwadi workers displayed the various vegetables and fruits of their locality. Weight and height measurements of the children were done on the spot   to find out kids with Severe Acute Malnutrition(SAM) and Medium Acute Malnutrition (MAM).
