Director RDD Jammu inspects development works in Block Dansal of district Jammu

Director Rural Development, Jammu Sudershan Kumar today inspected developmental works in various Panchayats of Block Dansal of district Jammu  under MGNREGA, 14th FC, Back to Village, rural connectivity and other works/schemes.The Director during his field visit laid stress on the subordinate  staff to work with synergy and laid stress on people friendly approach towards implementation of public welfare schemes on ground. He further advised  for maintaining checks and balance and maintenance of ratio of 60:40, installation of CIBs as per suggestive framework while implementing the  MGNREGA in the Block.The Block Development Officer including field functionaries were directed to ensure 100 percent utilization of funds under SBM,  updating of 14th FC works as ongoing on E-Gramswraj portal, uploading of MGNREGA plan and PMAY on e-Gramswaraj portal and uploading of 15th  FC plan on e-Gramswaraj portal. The Director said that the works are being executed as per the guidelines issued by the UT administration for  protection against COVID-19 pandemic. Further, he appealed to the rural population to ensure wearing of masks and keep social distancing in order to  combat COVID-19.During visit, the Director inspected various works including construction of C Path from main road to cremation ground which is  being constructed under 14th FC with an estimated cost of Rs 1.80 lac, construction of well near house of Chain Singh W No 1 under MGNREGA with  an estimated cost Rs 2.00 lacs.The other works inspected were land leveling and P-work in the land of Gajan Singh and others W No 2 under  MGNREGA with an estimated cost Rs 2.00 lacs, Construction of C path from main road to Ram Mandir W No 1 under MPLAD with an estimated cost  Rs. 2.00 lac, construction of well near house of Suram Chand W No 6 under MGNREGA with an estimated cost Rs. 2.00 lac, construction of Tr. road  from main road to Middle School Palli W No 5 under Back to Village with an estimated cost of Rs 14.02 lacs, construction of drain mohalla Ramdassian  under 14th FC with an estimated cost of Rs. 2.00 lac etc.Later, he inspected the office of BDO Dansal and directed the concerned officer and officials  to maintain the records properly and ensure completion of work files with pre-execution, during execution and post execution photographs, copies of  estimates, Administrative approvals, muster sheets and other necessary documents of all the works in the office.He also instructed them to maintain  photo albums at block and panchayat levels. Thereafter, the Director interacted with the BDC Chairperson and other PRI members and assured them of  every possible help by the department.Others who accompanied the Director include Assistant Commissioner Development Jammu, Amit Vermani,  Executive Engineer (REW), Jammu, Ram Singh, Block Development Office, Vishap Partap Singh, BDC chairperson Reena Thappa.
