The Mission Fateh campaign has really caught the imagination of the common people with many of them coming to spread awareness about following safety precautions laid down by the Health Department to be safe from the corona virus. One such energetic youth is Harpreet Singh from the Youth Services Club in Phase-11 who has taken it upon himself to sensitize the common people with a missionary zeal.He cycles from Phase-11 to the Sukhna Lake and exhorts the people whom he happens to meet on the way to wear masks whenever going out, wash hands with soaps and hand sanitizers and maintain social distancing so as to combat the corona virus pandemic in an effective manner and break its chain. He said that being a member of the youth club, he considers it his first and foremost responsibility to strengthen the hands of the State Government by contributing his own little bit.Divulging about the slogan, ‘Corona Ton Darna Nahin, Corona Naal Larna Hai’, this forever energetic and exuberant youth says that the slogan symbolizes the never say die spirit of the Punjabi community which has withered many a storms and come out with flying colours. Same would be the result of the war against the corona virus pandemic.He called for the common people to join hands with the frontline fighters such as the Health and The Police Departments and spread the awareness at the grassroots platforms and be Mission Warriors in the true sense.Meanwhile, under the aegis of the Punjab Youth Development Board, a cycle rally from Kharar to Chapparchiri was also organized, generating awareness on how to be safe from the corona virus.Apart from this, a webinar was also held on the topic - 'COVID-19, challenges and opportunities for youth'. Other activities included 70 youth club volunteers dividing Mohali into 4 zones and going from door to door in the villages generating awareness. Besides, the Sports and Youth Services Department, also organized door to door awareness drive in the villages namely Chilla, Manauli, Lakhnaur, Bakarpur, Mauli and Landran.
