Meeting held with leading hospital heads to chalk out unified command for dealing with unforeseen spike in cases

With a view to chalk out the unified command for any unforeseen spike in the cases related to corona virus, a meeting with the leading hospitals of the district was today held by the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan.During the course of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main emphasis is on ensuring that the precious lives are saved and for this to happen, the identification process, of the hospitals who can take covid patients and provide top notch medical treatment to them, has to be carried out. The MoUs in this regard have already been signed.The occasion also saw two expert committees being formed. One is an Advisory Committee to give opinion in case the number of positive cases reaches an alarming level and the other being a Referral Committee which would suggest the levels of the hospitals as L1, L2 and L3.The DC further said that the rates of treatment in the identified hospitals would also be uploaded on the official website of the District Administration for the sake of transparency.Meanwhile, as recognition of the valuable services rendered by the medical fraternity, the Deputy Commissioner on the occasion honoured the doctors present with the Mission Fateh badges and exhorted them to continue serving the cause of humanity.Among others present on the occasion included the ADC Aashika Jain, Assistant Commissioner (General) Yashpal Sharma, Civil Surgeon Dr. Manjit Singh and the District Epidemologist Dr. Harman.
