DDC Shopian reviews preparedness of Kisan Pakhwada

In a bid to empower the farmers to improve the growth level and support the national goal of productivity, innovative initiatives of the government are in line with the efforts that are being made.The District Development Commissioner Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today said that the government is taking forward an innovative initiative and pioneering work in agriculture and rural areas.He said that the Government has been continuously working hard on such initiatives, to secure productivity, interests of farmers, increase their income levels and improve their standard of living and this way the government aspires to double the income of farmers by 2022.The DDC directed the concerned to publish informative books, leaflets, pamphlets to promote this mission and also a booklet on agro loan products to assist farmers that he said will be instrumental in creating a medium of better future for the agricultural sector and improving agriculture business for farmers.The Government had undertaken the initiative of Kisan Pakhwada across the country which had reaped huge success therefore it has been decided to continue organizing this initiative this year too which will be conducted between July 7 and July 21.“Kisan Pakhwada” celebrates the spirit and vigour of our farmers and it also aims at promoting increase in advances in rural and agriculture sectors.Among others the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian and other concerned officers and officials of the district.
