Four Patients Win War Against Corona, Discharged From Covid Care Centre In Meritorious School

In a major sigh of relief on Tuesday, four Corona positive patients today defeated the pandemic by recovering well from the Covid 19 and returning to their homes.The patients Shivam (24), Sonu (34), Abzul (28) and Mamta (26) today registered their triumph over the pandemic and were discharged from the Covid Care Centre at Government Meritorious School, Kapurthala Road. Four of them won the battle against Corona Virus with their indefatigable will power and quality treatment facilities being offered by the Punjab government.These patients were admitted to the Covid Care Centre after they were found positive of Corona Virus and a dedicated team of Doctors and para-medical staff led by Senior Medical Officer of Civil Hospital Dr Jagdish Kumar ensured quality treatment to them in the Covid Care Centre. The patients also expressed complete satisfaction over the treatment given to them in the centre. They thanked all the medical and Paramedical staff who took care of them there. The patients also thanked the state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for making elaborate arrangements to take care of the patients in this hour of crisis.Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ghanshyam Thori complimented the team of doctors for ensuring quality treatment to these patients through which they were able to recover.  He said that the day was not far when Jalandhar would be free of this Covid 19.Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla said that as per new SOP, a patient was eligible for discharge after the 10 days of onset of symptoms and no fever for 3 days with oxygen saturation (SpO, >93%) without oxygen support.She said that the patient, who was being discharged, should have the requisite facilities at their residence for self-isolation and also tor quarantining the family contacts, i.e. clean, well-ventilated rooms with attached washrooms for the patient/home contacts.
