Charanjit Singh Atwal Takes Oath As Protem Speaker

The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Mr. Shivraj V. Patil, administered the oath of office to Mr. Charanjit Singh Atwal as Protem Speaker, Punjab at a brief but impressive ceremony held at Punjab Raj Bhavan. Soon after being sworn in Mr. Atwal signed the oath, which was countersigned by the Governor. Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal,   senior leaders of political parties, senior civil and police officers, members of the journalist fraternity and the invitees from all over the State attended the ceremony.The family members, friends and well wishers of Mr.Charanjit Singh Atwal also congratulated  Mr. Atwal. High-Tea was also served to the guests at the Punjab Raj Bhavan after the ceremony.
