DDC reviews progress on BRO roads at Udhampur

District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, convened an officers meeting to review progress on roads being constructed by Border Road Organization (BRO) in the district.DDC took a detailed review of roads and bridges being executed and maintained by BRO included Birma Bridge, road from Phalata to Jakhani Chowk, Domail to roun Domail, Dhar Road and other link roads in the district.Regarding progress on renovation and restoration work on Birma bridge, SE BRO informed that the work on this project is going on in full swing and will be completed within week’s time.DDC asked the executing agencies to expedite the restoration work on all the roads for completion within stipulated time. He asked them to focus on works like filling of all pathholes, improving drainage system along the road side before start of rainy season.DDC asked Tehsildar Udhampur to visit Panchayat Sattani along with BRO team and get the desilting of drainage systems of the area done well before rainy season.Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, SE BRO, H.Murthy, Executive Engineer BRO, D.Khatik and other officers were present in the meeting.
