District Youth Service & Sports (DYSS) observe yoga day In Pulwama

District youth service and sports Department in Collaboration with District Administration Pulwama observed 6th International Yoga Day 2020 in this Southern district following all the SOP's With limited number of Participants this year due to Pandemic covid 19.Students from different educational institutions of district Pulwama received orientation training about Yoga practice and its advantages in maintaining good health.Speaking on the occasion, officials of youth services and sports Pulwama highlighted the benefits of performing Yoga.They asked the participants to perform different physical exercises for growth and development of their mind and body.Earlier Department of Youth Services and Sports Pulwama during the week long programme imparted the awareness of the day to General public and urged them to connect with the programme for performing Yoga Asnas at their homes.It is pertinent to mention here that due to Global Pandemic no huge gatherings/functions were organized to perform Yog Annas but people were requested to mark their participation through online demonstration programmes from their respective homes to observe the Yoga Day.Yoga is a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body and is an invaluable ancient Indian practice Which has proven benefits on general health and immunity enhancement, along with its globally accepted role as a stress buster.The International Day of Yoga has been celebrated annually on 21 June since 2015, following its inception in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice which originated in India.
