38 new cases of Covid-19 in UT Ladakh

As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, 38 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in UT Ladakh: 11 from Leh district and 27 from Kargil district. With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 594; 115 in Leh district and 479 in Kargil district.06 COVID-19 patients from Leh district and 01 COVID-19 patient from Kargil district were discharged from COVID hospital yesterday after their negative report was received by the Health Department.The bulletin also informs that out of the total 115 active cases in Leh, 04 positive patients are admitted in COVID hospital while 111 positive cases are in home isolation. And of the total 479 active cases in Kargil district, 75 positive patients are admitted in COVID hospital and 288 positive cases are in home isolation while 116 positive patients are in COVID Care Centre (CCC).It also informs that till date 66 (36%) numbers of patients in Leh district and 26 (5%) in Kargil district were cured and discharged from COVID hospitals.The bulletin informs that 70 samples were tested at COVID-19 Laboratory Chuchot Yokma yesterday. 02 positive sample reports and 58 negative sample reports are of Leh district. Another two positive report of two COVID patients, already admitted in COVID Hospital Leh, was received yesterday. 01 positive sample reports and 07 negative sample reports are of Kargil district.The Health Department Leh received 143 sample reports yesterday from NCDC New Delhi; out of the total sample reports, 09 positive sample reports and 11 negative sample reports are of Leh district; 26 positive sample reports and 97 negative reports are of Kargil district.The bulletin also informs that the condition of all 594 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable.54 passengers and 139 drivers and helpers of 89 trucks/tankers and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltsi check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitised.The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 577 passengers yesterday, including drivers and helpers who came to Leh in 38 tankers, 49 trucks, 02 light motor vehicles and 14 buses.
