The 'Mission Fateh Warriors' who are spreading awareness about the corona virus are doing a great service to the society and can very well be described as the ambassadors of humanity. These views were expressed here today by the SDM, Mohali Mr. Jagdeep Saigal on the occasion of felicitating the 50 Mission Fateh Warriors for spreading awareness regarding the corona virus.The SDM also added that the S.A.S. Nagar district is undertaking herculean efforts under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan with every means at its disposal to ensure that the entire length and breadth of the district is made aware about the safety measures and precautions to be undertaken to get oneself protected from corona virus.It was in keeping with this strategy in mind that the 25 publicity vans were flagged off on 14th June from the District Administrative Complex to sensitize people about corona virus and thus be of great help in controlling the pandemic by making the others aware thus multiplying the chain of awareness.He further said that Mission Fateh is a part of the sincere efforts being undertaken by the State Government in which every citizen must come forward to contribute because the people's support is absolutely necessary to make sure that the awareness campaign turns into a people's movement with every household and each person being aware about the safety precautions to be undertaaken.Mr. Saigal exhorted everybody to comply fully with the Government directives issued from time to time such as wearing of masks, maintaining of required social distance, washing off hands with the sanitizers as well as the soaps with atleast 20 seconds as often as possible.Coming towards the technological dimension to the awareness campaign, The SDM also added that the mission fateh warriors should exhort maximum number of people to download COVA app which is developed by the Punjab Government so as to ensure that accurate information reaches the people. He also divulged that after downloading the app, selfies with regard to awareness activities be posted and on the basis of which, the maximum amount of publicizing activities would be chosen on the daily, weekly and the monthly basis. The winners would be felicitated with the certificates of the Bronze, Silver and the Gold categories respectively and also with the T-Shirts.
