Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Ghanshyam Thori today reviewed the preparedness of the district administration to combat the Covid 19 pandemic and directed the Health department to pull up their socks for making Jalandhar Corona free.Chairing a high level meeting of the officers here at his office, the Deputy Commissioner said that war against Corona virus has to be won by all means. He said that for this quality diagnostic and treatment facility was being ensured by the district administration. Mr Thori said that this needs to be upheld in the coming days too for effectively tackling this pandemic.The Deputy Commissioner said that adequate number of isolation centres and Covid care centres has been set up in the district. He said that the differentiation of symptomatic and asymptomatic cases has been clearly defined and treatment facilities were being provided accordingly. Mr Thori asked the officers of the district administration and the health department to make sure that every patient was given adequate health care.Meanwhile, the Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla and Medical Superintendent Dr Harinder Singh apprised the Deputy Commissioner that there were 381 active cases of the Corona virus. They also apprised Mr Thori about the arrangements made so far for combatting the Corona virus. Both the officers assured the Deputy Commissioner that they were duty bound to ensure that the district was made Corona free.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr Vishesh Sarangal and Mr Jasbir Singh, Assistant Commissioners Mr Harpreet Singh and Mr Hardeep Singh, EO PUDA Ms Navneet Kaur Bal, Deputy Director Local Government Ms Anupam Kaler, Civil Surgeon Dr Gurinder Kaur Chawla, Medical Superintendent Dr Harinder Singh, Epidemiologist Dr Shobna and  others were also present.
