DC conducts surprise visit of Doda town, reviews implementation of SOPs regarding COVID-19

Deputy Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, today conducted surprise visit of Doda town to review implementation of prescribed guidelines and SOPs regarding COVID-19 to combat further spread of the Virus in the district.During the visit, DC visited old bus stand Doda where he strictly directed the auto rickshaw drivers to fix the transparent sheets in their vehicles with immediate effect otherwise action would be initiated against the defaulters on this account under Disaster Management Act.He advised the people not to sit in the vehicles who don't follow the guidelines of the district administration like fixation of transparent sheets in the vehicles, limited seating capacity etc.Later, DC visited the interior areas of the town including Nagri, Tondwah, Barath road Doda and imposed penalty on people who were venturing outside their homes without wearing face mask.DC advised the people to follow the instructions issued by the district administration in letter and spirit which purely aimed at ensuring their safety from the global pandemic. He also asked the public transporters to follow the necessary guidelines issued by the administration during their travel within the jurisdiction of the district.
