The district administration is according utmost priority to sanitization, cleanliness and quality food to the inmates of COVID -19 quarantine centers in the district.The administration said this while strongly refuting the fabricated news published in a leading newspaper regarding unhygienic conditions and facilities in Thandi Khui Quarantine Centre at Tehsil Vijaypur of District Samba.The district administration, while clarifying the allegations on this account, said that this story published with malicious intentions is not only baseless and far from truth but lacks credibility and reliability.Officer Incharge, SDM Vijaypur, has clarified that at Thandi Khui, the administration had taken the help of Radha Soami Satsang Beas organization, who had given their clean, hygienic ashram premises and satsang shed for keeping the stranded passengers, travelers who had to be kept under quarantine.In this regard, the Samba administration said that the premises including multiple sheds, multiple toilets, a testing area, waste collection areas are being cleaned and sanitized twice a day. Also, the Municipal Committee Vijaypur has placed a dedicated team of workers there for ensuring proper hygiene and cleanliness in the quarantine centre, the administration apprised further.SDM further added that the Radha Swami Satsang Beas from day two is serving free food from their community kitchen to all the inmates besides providing tea, milk, water etc. The food is served hot in hygienic disposable packs, Chapatis in foil paper with pickle and mineral water. The entire kitchen (langer) is working in utmost hygienic condition observing all preventive protocols regarding COVID-19 under the supervision of the administration.SDM Chander Parkash said the Satsang Ghar is being used as a transit facility for segregating people coming from Lakhapur and sending them to their native places for medical test and administrative quarantine there.
