Nand Lal Sharma calls on Governor

Chairman and Managing Director of Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVN) Limited  Nand Lal Sharma called on Governor Bandaru Dattatraya at Raj Bhavan, today.In his courtesy call,  Shri Sharma apprised the Governor about the contribution of SJVN in power generation. He said that power stations of SJVN achieved highest ever cumulative generation of 9678  million units in the financial year 2019-20. He informed that the present installed capacity of the SJVN was 2015.2 MW, which included 1912 MW of hydro power, 97.6 MW of wind  power and 5.6 MW of solar power. He said that SJVN has recently entered into MoUs with Government of Himachal Pradesh for implementation of eight hydro projects. The total  capacity of these projects were 2388 MW and the development of these projects involved investment of Rs. 24,000 crores, he informed.He said that the officers and official of  SJVN have contributed towards CM Cares Fund and CM Relief Fund besides extending full support towards implementation of various measures to deal with COVID-19  pandemic.The Governor appreciated the achievements of the Nigam and hoped that they would contribute more and support the efforts of the state government to flight against  COVID-19.
