Implementing the guidelines of Punjab government in a bid to control spread of Corona virus under Mission Fateh, the district police have challaned 5634 people and slapped around Rs 15.60 lacs on them for not wearing masks.Giving this information here today the SSP Moga Mr Harmanbir Singh Gill said that similarly 1338 people have been imposed challan of Rs 2.03 lacs for spitting in public place while another 47 have been imposed challan of Rs 68500 for not maintaining proper social distance.With this the district police have issued 7019 challans till date and slapped fine of Rs 18, 32, 800.Giving further details be said that people not wearing masks and spitting in public are challaned Rs 500 for each offence. Similarly, those violating home quarantine are challaned Rs 2000, violation of social distancing on two wheeler attracts fine of Rs 500, violation of social distancing on four wheeler attracts fine of Rs 2000 and violation of social distancing in shops too attracts fine of Rs 2000.He called upon people to follow the rules laid by government so that the spread of Corona virus can be contained effectively.
