Manpreet Badal Digs At Modi Govt, Says Financial Package Of Centre Like 'Mungerilal Ke Sapne'

Dubbing the financial package announced by the BJP led Central Government as 'Mungerilal ke Sapne', Punjab Finance Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal said that the BJP  government remained ignorant to oppressive realities of the country. He visited the Mahina Chowk Bazaar and New Cloth Market here today to listen the grievances of the  traders.Interacting with the shopkeepers, Mr. Badal said that the central government's package was not Rs. 20 lakh crore as it claimed by the Narendra Modi Government, but  actually it was less than Rs. 1.83 lakh crore. Describing the package just a fiction, he said that it was good for daydreaming and grabbing headlines but in reality it would serve  nothing to the small traders, farmers and other sections of the society distressed due to COVID-19 lockdown. People of Punjab will definitely tide over  this difficult situation with  their strong will power, he said, adding that Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government launched "Mission Fateh" to instill the spirit of 'Chardi Kala' and  Victory in the people of state.Mr. Badal said that it was a good for the economy of the state that our farmers had earned Rs. 26,000 crore from wheat, Rs. 4,000 crore from  potatoes and Rs 1000 crore from Kinnows during last 5 month and this Rs. 31000 crore is enough to boost our economy during this worldwide slowdown.Assuring the  shopkeepers and traders for every possible help, Mr. Badal said that Punjab government was taking firm steps to help them out from this crisis. The lockdown restrictions would  be further reduced in coming days, however, our responsibility would be increased in continuing to follow the guidelines and instructions of the health department to keep the  virus under check. "With our determination, it is certain that economic growth and prosperity will surely return to our country," he said.Meanwhile, the Finance Minister felicitated  the security guards and tea vendors in the New Cloth Market and lauded their contribution in public service during the COVID-19 crisis. During the visit to bazaar of the city, the  Finance Minister lend ears to the problems of the people and instructed the concerned authorities to resolve at the earliest.During the visit, he was accompanied by Mr. KK  Agarwal, Mr. Arun Wadhawan, Mr. Pawan Mani, Mr. Rajan Garg, Mr. Mohan Lal Jhumba, Mr. Raju Bhattewala, Mr. Bharat Bhushan Goyal, Manoj Singla, Manohar Singh, Rakesh  Singla, Ratan Lal, Ajit Singh, Sunny and Baljit Singh.
