DC Ramban reviews Eid-ul- Fitr arrangements

Deputy Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan along with Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Dr Haseeb-ur-Rehman today convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for upcoming   Eid-ul-Fitr besides listening to the issues of locals.The meeting was attended by ADC, Ashok Sharma, ACR, Dhirendra Sharma, CMO, Dr. Freed Bhat, Assistant Director FCS&CA, President MC, Ramban, Amit Bharti, President Beopar Mandal, Ved Bhushan Gupta, Ex. MLA, Neelam Lange  President District Seerat Committee, Showket Mugal, Gopal Krishan, Khalid Wani and members of civil society Ramban .In view of current situation due to COVID-19 pandemic, threadbare discussions were held regarding measures need to be taken to combat the spread of COVID-19 and implementation of lockdown, maintaining of social distancing in markets during the auspicious occasion of   Eid-ul-Fitr. The meeting was also discussed proper sanitation, availability  of essential commodities, uninterrupted power, water supply and other arrangements.Representatives of different organization apprised the DC about their apprehension regarding establishment of COVID care centre and other related issues of shopkeepers.A committee was also constituted headed DC, comprising SSP, ADC, CMO, President Beopar Mandal, President MC Ramban, Ex-MLA Neelam Lange besides various other members of civil society to ensure implementation of SOP in COVID care centers to prevent spread of COVID-19.The DC directed the CMO Ramban to submit a proposal in coordination with members of committee to barricade the Covid care center and hospital to restrict movement there to prevent spread of COVID- 19. CMO was also directed to regulate movement of ambulances carrying COVID patient as per directions. The DC also issued necessary directions to other concerned departments so that people do not face any inconvenience in present COVID-19 situation.The DC sought cooperation from the  civil society and   representatives of religious and other organizations in ensuring lock down and social distancing during these auspicious occasions by appealing people to offer prayers at home as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of deadly corona virus.The representatives of civil society, Beopar Mandal and religious leader assured full cooperation to the district administration in ensuring lockdown besides implementing other directions during   the upcoming festival.
