1188 migrants leave for Ambedkar Nagar in the fourth Special Train from Patiala

Migrants doled out blessings to the government for facilitating their journey back home, free of cost

The fourth Special Train with 1188 migrant labourers of Uttar Pradesh chugged off the Patiala Railway Station for Ambedkar Nagar on Friday.  Running right on schedule, the non-stop train left Patiala Station at 05:00 pm.Deputy Commissioner Mr. Kumar Amit told that social distancing guidelines were adhered to while boarding of passengers into the train. Along with free tickets packed food was provided to all aboard and catered biscuits, milk packets and water to them, which was much appreciated by the migrants. They special thanked Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh led Punjab Government.Earlier, the migrant workers scheduled to leave, were screened thoroughly at Railway Station by the health department and teachers of Education department before they boarded the train. The migrants doled out blessings to the government for facilitating their journey back home, free of cost. Pertinently, Patiala Administration also facilitated the travel back of 3 trains and busses to UP, Rajsthan, J&K.
