Jalandhar administration has made elaborate arrangements for comfortable stay of people arriving from other states especially the pilgrims from Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded at the quarantine centre set up at the meritorious school of children. At present 228 people were staying in the quarantine home out of which 132 were pilgrims from Sri Hazur Sahib Nanded, seven were from Kota Rajasthan, 32 from Jailsmer Rajasthan  and 57 from other places. Apart from ensuring supplying of quality food, water, fruits and other necessary things along with a welcome kit with tooth brush, tooth paste, bathing soap, washing soap, sanitizer, mask, towel, bucket, mug and others, the district administration was leaving no stone unturned for their comfortable stay. Around 15 sanitary workers have been deployed round the clock to ensure cleanliness in the campus.The Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr. Varinder Kumar a high powered committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh with Assistant Commissioner Mr. Hardeep Singh and District Education Officer Mr. Harinder Pal Singh as its members to ensure foolproof logistics for the boarding and lodging of these persons quarantined in the School for Meritorious Children. Similarly a highly qualified team of the Doctors led by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Raman Sharma and Dr. Jagdish, District Immunization Officer Dr. Seema and others were taking proper care of the health facilities for the quarantined people. Counseling and Yoga sessions for the quarantined people were being held every day to ensure that the people remain fit, both mentally and physically. Special care was being taken for cleanliness and hygiene of the people for which clean bed sheets, pillows and others were also provided to the persons coming to this quarantine centre. The pillow covers and bed sheets were changed after every consecutive day to maintain the hygiene. Likewise, adequate arrangements have also been made for security of the centre for which the Commissioner of Police Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar has specially deputed officer of Assistant Commissioner of Police rank.
