MP Manish Tiwari held meeting with presidents of bar associations

The legal society asked for help, Tiwari gave confidence,matter would be resolved by the government

Shri Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tiwari held a meeting with the presidents of the bar associations related to the problems faced in the constituency. During this period, while the legal society asked to provide financial assistance to them amid the lockdown implemented due to the Corona  infection, they had also put their suggestions forward to improve the situation. Tewari assured to get a proper solution by putting the matter before the Punjab government.In the video conferencing, representatives of the legal society demanded MP Tewari  to provide financial assistance from the Punjab government to the needy lawyers in view of the Corona transition. He said that the lawyers have been given financial assistance at the rate of Rs 5000 per person by the Punjab and Haryana Bar Council, but due to certain terms and conditions, most of the advocates could not be included in the scope.He demanded that the Punjab government immediately set up a committee, which is under the Advocate General of Punjab, to use the Advocate Welfare Fund lying with the Bar Council to help medical needs of lawyers in epidemic situations. Apart from this, he also made several suggestions regarding prevention of corona infection and demanded strict implementation of social distancing during the relaxation of lockdown.Reacting to these suggestions, MP Tewari assured that he will try to solve the problems of the legal society by talking to Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
