BJP worker Noordeen Malik compromised with his ongoing roza (fast) of the holy month of ramzaan when he donated blood for 16th time, this time special one amidst lockdown to repair the loss of ailing patients in PGI. He was one of the eight BJP party workers who donated blood at PGI’s blood bank on Sunday. A resident of village Maloya working as helper in PU’s construction department has made up his mind when he skipped tenth sehri of his daily roza well before the dawn. “During the lockdown, my heart wept for these ailing patients and thalessamic children and always wanted to do something for them. My friend Vijay Rana further energized me and there was no second thought to firm my decision.” said 28 years old Malik.Malik also thanked supportive attitude of his family who never let down his thought of donating the blood during Ramzaan. “Ammi (mother) always taught me to help humanity and equally I derived inspiration from my wife – Mehtam who is a covid warrior. Being a ANM nurse, she is strengthening the UT Administration drive of Corona screening in local slums.’ said Malik.He pledged that he will impart this blood donation drive to the fellow youth of his commune which will help saving others lives. He affirms that both lockdown and Ramzaan will have its happy ending with mutual cooperation.With eight donors today, a total of 109 party workers have donated blood so far during the ongoing lockdown. Party president assured the movement will moves till the end of the crisis.
