"The State Government is fully committed to ensure that the needy sections of the society receive basic necessities in this hour of need considering the curfew imposed in the wake of corona virus." These views were expressed here today at Balongi by the Health Minister and MLA Mohali Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu on the occasion of distributing wheat and Dal to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojna (PMGKY).On the occasion, the minister distributed 290 bags of wheat and Dal to the 144 beneficiaries. A total of 87 quintals of wheat and 4.32 quintals of Dal was distributed. Meanwhile, the Technical Education and Industrial Training and Cultural Affairs Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi accompanied by the SDM Mr. Himanshu Jain, also distributed wheat and Dal to the beneficiaries of the PMGKY in village Batta in Kharar. On the occasion, 3 kilo dal per card and wheat at the rate of 15 kg per member was distributed to a total of 260 families.
