DDC Ramban equipped Highway Patrol vehicles with medical, rescue equipment

District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today provided the  medical kits and rescue equipments for   four Highway Patrol vehicles  placed by the Ramban police on NH 44 in the district to ensure immediate response to emergency situation 24X7 besides enhancing vigilance on National Highway.SSP, Ramban, Haseeb-ur-Rehman, ADC, Ashok Sharma, Additional SP,   Sanjay Parihar were also present on the occasion.The DDC lauded the efforts made by the police department to develop infrastructure as well as trained man power to deal with road accidents besides other emergencies occurred on NH-44.   He also advised them to maintain social distancing and follow other guideline as per protocol to prevent spread of COVID-19 while performing    their duties in emergency situation.It was informed that two vehicles moved towards Nashri and two towards the Jawahar Tunnel for patrolling to quickly respond to any highway (NH44) emergency.The DDC said that each vehicle of TATA Xenon DLS will patrol in their specified jurisdiction that is one between Nashri to Karol, Ramban, another between Ramban to Panthial another between Panthial to Chamalwas and another between Chamalwas to Jawahar Tunnel.Each vehicle manned by four persons including the driver will be perform in addition to the vehicles of existing Quick Response Teams in Ramban and Banihal towns. Each vehicle carrying oxygen cylinder and first aid medicines etc will assist the ambulances during an emergency especially mishaps and the persons deputed with these vehicles will be trained in first aid and rescue operation training.He said that even drinking water and some eatables will also be made available in these vehicles and at night every vehicle will remain parked at the police station of its jurisdiction at Chanderkote, Ramban,Ramsu and Banihal.
