Senior leader and MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Aman Arora, has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to come to the rescue of all categories of  industrialists, traders, shopkeepers, businessmen and labourers in the state, saying that, instead of creating any confusion between the employers and their employees, he  should announce special financial relief/ stimulus for the teeming millions of them and their families, who were earning their bread and butter on a daily wage basis.In a statement  issued from party headquarters on Saturday, Arora said that he had written to Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh demanding that he should come clean on the government's  plans on disbursement of monthly pay and financial relief/packages to more than 45 lakh employees working with industrial units, business establishments, shops in the state  during this hour of global strife, as the letter written by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh to PM Narendra Modi and the directives given by Principal Secretary to the Labor  Department, Punjab, vide trough a letter issued by Deputy Commissioner of Ludhiana on April 11, 2020 were in sync with each other, that had generated a lot of confusion  between the employers and their workers.The AAP leader alleged that Capt Amarinder Singh, in his letter to the Prime Minister, had demanded that the union government should  revisit and reconsider its order asking all business houses to pay full pay to their employees, saying all the businessman/ Industrial units would go bankrupt in the process.  Interestingly, on the other hand, the Labor Department through a letter by Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, had issued orders to all industrial, commercial and business units to  pay full salaries to their employees, which were not in consonance with each other.Arora added that while the AAP supported the government’s plea on payment of timely wages  to all the employees and workers of these units during these tough times, it was first and fundamental duty of the state and Central governments to provide them special financial  relief/stimulus to industrialists, shopkeepers and businessmen so that they could pay uncut salaries to their employees on time.
