DC and CP visit CRPF campus at Sarai Khaas to thank jawans preparing packets of dry ration

Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police Mr Gurpreet Singh Bhullar today lauded the role being played by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in combatting pandemic of Corona Virus.Both the officers, along with Deputy Inspector General CRPF Mr Harjinder Singh m, visited the CRPF campus at village Sarai Khaas near Kartarpur, reviewed the ongoing work of packing the dry food packets for distributing amongst the people. The CRPF personnel have been deployed for packing the dry packets of ration, sent by state government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, which were being supplied to the needy residents everyday. On an average 4500 packets of dry ration were being packed by the CRPF staff to be supplied by district administration amongst the people.Lauding the role being played by CRPF jawans in this noble cause, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that they were immensely contributing in this war against Corona virus. They said that the contribution of Jawans in this war was unprecedented. Both the officers said that the Punjabis in particular and the residents of Jalandhar would ever indebted to these brave hearts for saving several precious lives by this noble cause. They said that ever since lockdown CRPF personnel were roped in to do this herculean task of packing food items for saving the precious lives of people.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said that from last few days these brave soldiers gave a healing touch to the residents through this noble Gesture. They said that the people of Jalandhar would ever remember these brave hearts for their valiant deeds and humanitarian act. They  said that on behalf of all the Jalandhar residents, the district administration was really indebted to these Jawans.In his address the Deputy Inspector General of CRPF Mr Harjinder Singh said that the para military force was ever ready for serving the nation in any crisis. He said that the force has a glorious tradition of serving the country and this act was in line with this rich legacy. Mr Harjinder Singh assured fulsome support and cooperation to district administration in this war against Covid 19.On the occasion Commandant CRPF Mr VS Joon, Assistant Commandant Mr Kulwant Singh, District Food and Supply Controller Mr Narinder Singh, Inspector CRPF Mr Manjit Singh and others were also present.
