Civil society members donate Rs.3.51 lakh in DDMF to fight against COVID19

As a noble gesture and as a part of the collective fight against COVID19 pandemic, the civil society members of the district Rajouri including retired ADC Subash Chander, retired ZEO Khurshid Janum and Transporter Bharat Bushan Gupta today donated an amount of Rs.3.51 lakh in District Disaster Management Fund.While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh thanked the civil society members for their contribution in the DDMF. He also appealed to the general public to come forward and contribute as per their capacity to help the district fight against COVID19 pandemic.DC said that district administration is working 24/7 to ensure that the general public doesn't feel any kind of inconvenience during this period of lockdown. He added that necessary steps are being taken for the welfare of the general public and all possible efforts are being made to ensure that the required basic facilities are made available to them without any delay.He also appealed to the general public to co-operate with the district administration by following the suggested preventive measures to fight the Corona Virus and maintain social distancing so that the chain of COVID19 spread can be broken.Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Bilal Rashid Mir and District Panchayat Officer, Dr.Abdul Khabir were present on the occasion.
