Chief Minister releases a book

Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh released new edition of book titled 'Jivan Shaili Ke Rog Aur Ayurved' authored by Dr. Anurag Vijayvargeeya a Shimla based writer here today.Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the author and hoped that this book would be useful for readers and would be encouraged to adopt ayurveda in their lives. He said that ayurveda was a base of Indian life style and one can lead a happy and healthy life by adopting ayurveda.This book had been awarded Rajiv Gandhi Rashtriya Gyan Vigyan Puruskar by President Shri Pranab Mukherjee in 2012 on the occasion of Hindi pas. 

A Spokesperson of State Government informed here today that Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh would inaugurate State-level Kisan Mela and Innovative Farmers Meet-2013 at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya, Palampur on 20th April, 2013. He said that this two day Mela would provide a unique opportunity to study the research work done in field of agriculture and to get acquainted with the improved technologies generated for the welfare of farmers, livestock keepers, orchardists etc. 

He further said that exhibition pertaining to subjects on agriculture, animal husbandry, horticulture, fisheries, etc. and display of technologies developed by innovative farmers, sale of high yielding variety of seeds, demonstrations of improved farm plants, diagnostic services for crops and animals besides cultural events would be the main highlights of this Mela.
