Cabinet Partake Langar At Sri Harimandir Sahib 16-Mar-2012

Punjab Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal along with Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal and all the other Cabinet colleagues today paid obeisance at Sri Harimandir Sahib, Durgiana Temple and historic Ram Tirath to thank the almighty for blessing them with a spectacular win in the recently concluded assembly elections of the state.

The Punjab Cabinet led by Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal reached the Sri Harimandir Sahib complex in the morning to offer prayers and sort blessings of almighty to give enormous strength to serve the people of state with all humility and dedication. Inside the temple complex the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal, Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal and Cabinet Ministers including Bhagat Chunni Lal, Mr Adesh Pratap Singh Kairon, Mr Bikram Singh Majithia, Mr Sikander Singh Maluka, Mr Surjeet Singh Rakhra, Mr Ajit Singh Kohar, Mr Parminder Singh Dhindsa, Mr Madan Mohan Mittal, Mr Sarwan Singh Phillaur, Jathedar Tota Singh, Mr Gulzar Singh Ranike, Mr Sharanjeet Singh Dhillon and Mr Anil Joshi were presented Siropas by the management of Sri Harimandir Sahib. Later on the entire Cabinet also paid obeisance at Shri Akal Takht Sahib. Subsequently under the leadership of the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal all the ministers went to Durgiana Temple and historic Ram Tirath for paying their obeisance.

Later talking to the media persons in front of the Information Centre of Sri Harmandir Sahib the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal said that the entire Cabinet had came to these religious shrines to express their gratitude as the SAD-BJP alliance has by God’s grace staged a historic comeback in Punjab. He reiterated his firm commitment to ensure over all development, peace and communal harmony besides cherishing the aspirations of all sections of the society. Mr Badal said that the SAD-BJP alliance government would be ever indebted to the people of Punjab for reposing unflinching faith in the policies and programs of the government. The Chief Minister hailed the historic mandate in the favour of SAD-BJP alliance as a God sent opportunity to enable us to complete our unaccomplished agenda to its logical end for emerging Punjab as a front runner state in the country. Lauding the impartial role played by the media in the recently concluded polls in the state Mr Badal said that it has further helped in strengthening the democratic values and ethos of Journalism. Replying to a query regarding the top priorities of the alliance government, the Chief Minister said he would soon convene a meeting of the Cabinet to fix the priority of development agenda and subsequently chalk out a time bound strategy to ensure its implementation in right earnest. 

 Meanwhile the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal along with his Cabinet colleagues also visited the historic Jallianwala Bagh to pay tributes to the great martyrs who had laid down their life during the freedom struggle of the country. In the afternoon the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues also partook ‘Langar’ at Sri Harimandir Sahib.
