"The Punjab Government has taken necessary measures at a rapid pace to ensure that the corona virus disease is effectively contained. It is in keeping with this goal in mind that a Sanitization drive has been undertaken today at Phase - 7."Disclosing this here today on the occasion of kickstarting the drive under his personal supervision, the Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, and Mohali MLA Mr. Balbir Singh Sidhu said that the District Administration is taking effective steps to stop the spread of corona virus and the need of the hour is to keep the momentum going.Calling the staff engaged in the Sanitization work as the Ambassadors of Hygiene, the minister assured that their needs regarding the safety equipment concerning masks, gloves and sanitisers besides ensuring their medical check up, would also be taken care of.He also said that the spray machines, fire tenders, hand spray pumps are being used for disinfection with sodium hypochlorite.The villages besides the slum areas are being disinfected on priority.
