DC Samba reviews counter measures taken regarding Cornavirus containment

Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria today convened a meeting to review the measures taken by district administration in order to contain spread of coronavirus in the district , besides supply of essential items like ration and medicine.He was informed by the Chief Medical Officer, Rajinder Samyal that regular surveillance has been carried out in each medical block of the district wherein persons have been kept under quarantine facilities at 9 designated places. It was further informed that persons are being shifted to home quarantine after completion of 14 days period and 28 days period respectively as advised by Medical Officers.DC was further apprised that regular home surveys are being conducted wherein persons details like foreign visit, symptoms check and feedback of home quarantine persons is recorded. BMO informed that the teams have undertaken door to door surveys and visited houses twice a day.DC directed the concerned officers to follow the directions of govt and spread awareness regarding maintaining social distances. He said that administration is providing masks, sanitizers, ensuring supply of essential items besides keeping selected markets opened for fixed times.
