In a noble gesture the Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma and Commissioner of Police today reached out to on duty staff and people for enquiring about their well being amidst curfew.During the flag march in the city today, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police met the on duty staff at Kishanpura Chowk. Interacting with constable Mr Lovely, who was surprised by the move of senior officers, both the officers asked him about whether he was facing any problem in rendering his duty. They also sought suggestion from the constable regarding how the things could be further streamlined in the district.Similarly, after noticing a family standing on the balcony of first floor of their house, the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police went in front of their house and established contact with the family. They asked the kids standing in balcony about their studies and extended best to them.Both the officers also asked the family to stay inside their houses through ‘self home quarantine’ and contribute immensely in the war against Covid 19.The Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police said the administration was duty-bound to implement the curfew strictly in the district. They asked the people to support the administration for this noble cause.Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police conducted the flag march at BMC Chowk, Namdev Chowk, Sri Ram (Nehru Garden) Chowk, Bhagwan Valmiki (Jyoti) Chowk, Rainik Bazaar, Saidan Gaye, Naya Bazaar, Luv Kush (Milap) Chowk, Phagwara Gate, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Old Railway Road , Damoria pull, Kishanpura Chowk, Railway station, Madan Flour Mill Chowk, Ladowali Road and District Administrative Complex.On the occasion Additional Deputy Commissioners Mr Vishesh Sarangal and Mr Jasbir Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police Mr NK Dogra and Mr AS Powar besides others.
