RC office extends helping hand to stranded Himachalis in NCR

Vivek Mahajan Deputy Resident Commissioner, Himachal Bhawan at New Delhi informed today that RC office is making earnest efforts to help the distressed Himachalis in National Capital Region (NCR) in wake of COVID-19. He said that Mobile Helpline Van has been made operational.The vehicles of RC Office has been pressed into service carrying officials, including Civil and Police personnel who are reaching out to the needy people from the State, stranded in Delhi and providing all help.A helpline call has been set up in RC office which is functioning 24x7 "we are assisting and providing ration, medicines and other essential commodities to the needy", said Vivek Mahajan, adding that and families from Gurugram, Ghitorni, Dhundera and Mahipalpur were delivered ration at their doorsteps today.He said that active representatives of various social bodies of Himachal are selflessly supporting the efforts of state government, prominent among them are Satpal Kharwal local councillor from HP, Baldev Verma, B.B. Barwal, Kapil, Veena Bhaudoria, K. R. Verma, S. N. Sharma and his team.
