COVID19 : DC Rajouri takes stock of essential commodities

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today convened a meeting of concerned officers to take stock of the status of essential services being provided to the  general public during the lockdown period due to Coronavirus infection.During the meeting a threadbare was held on various arrangements being put in place by the district  administration for the convenience of the general public during the lockdown period.Assistant Director FCS&CA informed that adequate stock of essential commodities is available  in the district. He further informed that the process of distribution of advance ration for the month of April and May has been started.The DC asked the concerned officers of PHE  and PDD to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply to the general public during the lockdown period so that they don't face any inconvenience in their daily life during  these days. He asked the Executive Engineer PDD to ensure the timely repairing of damaged electrical appliances such as transformers.He also asked the Assistant Director  Food and Civil Supplies to conduct market checking to ensure fair prices of basic commodities besides providing the ration to the public. 

He also asked the officer to review the availability of medicines and other essential commodities in the district.He directed the concerned officers to remain available at their  headquarters to meet out any emergency and ensure smooth public services during these days.Meanwhile the DC also reviewed the status of the grievances received and the  number of grievances redressed so far. He also asked the nodal officer of help and monitoring desk to establish close contact with the labourers working outside the district in  other parts of the country so that they can be facilitated.The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri ,Sher Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue,  Mohd Ashraf,Deputy District Election Officer, Rizwan Asgar, DSEO, Bilal Mir, Executive Engineer PWD Rajouri, Mohd Zubair, Executive Engineer PWD Nowhera, Prem kapoor  ,Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri, Mushtaq Ahmed, Executive Engineer PHE Nowshera, Gurcharan Singh, Executive Engineer PDD Rajouri, Munshi Khan, Assistant Director Food  and Civil Supplies, Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh and District Information Officer, Narinder Raina.
