State Control Room established for COVID-19 : Jai Ram Thakur

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur told here today that it is being ensured by the government that there is proper management, collection and flow of information during the period of  lockdown due to COVID-19. He said that for this purpose, a State Control Room for COVID-19 pandemic management has been established which is working under the State  Disaster Management Authority (SDMA).Chief Minister said that state government is enforcing all necessary precautionary measures including social distancing to control the  spread of COVID-19 virus. He said that efforts are being made to mitigate the hardship of those, stranded due to imposition of curfew and lockdown. He said that to ensure that  people of our state living in other states of the country get accurate information, knowledge and other necessary assistance in this hour of crisis, it is imperative to have a prompt  and quick mode of communication.He said that government has decided to set up dedicated helpline numbers 0177-2626076, 0177-2626077, 0177-2622204, 0177-2629688,  0177-2629939 and 0177-2621154 (Fax). He said that phone numbers 0177-2626076 and 0177-2626077 will be manned by four teams in two shifts of 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM and  2:00 PM to 10:00 PM every day on rotation basis and other phone numbers shall remain operational round the clock and will be manned by State Emergency Operation Centre  (SEOC) staff.

He said that these teams shall function from State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), established in HP Secretariat Shimla and would work under the overall supervision of  Principal Secretary of Revenue Onkar Chand Sharma assisted by State Nodal Officer for COVID-19 pandemic DC Rana. The compiled final report having details of total number of  calls received and action taken report of entire day will be submitted to the government on the basis of which further necessary measures would be taken by the government.Jai  Ram Thakur said that supply of various essential items has been received today through border districts of the state. Today, 44,420 LPG cylinders of LPG in 130 vehicles,  12,42,000 liter of diesel / petrol in 117 vehicles, 3,09,577 liter and 10,125 crates of milk and 535 crates of bread in 259 vehicles, 5,530 tonne grocery items in 942 vehicles, 1,554  tonne vegetables and fruits in 553 vehicles, 1.5 tonne and 88,114 boxes of medicines and sanitizer in 205 vehicles and 2,061 tonne of fodder in 174 vehicles have been supplied  through six border districts of the State, Bilaspur, Chamba, Kangra, Sirmaur, Solan and Una.He said that so far, there are 9,030 labourers who have been stranded in different  parts of the State and 6583 individuals and 10,000 families of Slum Dwellers in different districts. He said that out of these people 334 asked for shelter which has been provided  to them. He said that 8,210 persons and 10,000 families needed assistance in the form of ration which was also supplied to them.
