Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Varinder Kumar Sharma today asked the officers to rope in the management of the religious places in villages and cities for conducting announcements to make the people aware of precautions and spread of Corona Virus in the district.Chairing a meeting of the District level here at his office in the District Administrative Complex, the Deputy Commissioner said that the announcements must be made in the morning and evening to sensitize the people about this grave flu. He said that no stone must be left unturned for this noble cause so that the lives of the people could be saved. Mr. Sharma said that assuring the safety of the life of people was the top most priority of the state government led by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and district administration.The Deputy Commissioner further said that vigorous awareness campaign must be embarked so that maximum people were enlightened about the special steps to be taken for checking the flu. He said that it was a service towards humanity and every officer/ official was duty-bound to perform it with missionary zeal. Mr. Sharma also said that regular monitoring was being done at the state as well as district level to check the spread of virus.Taking stock of the activities being done by all the departments to check the Corona Virus, the Deputy Commissioner said that the work being done by every department was satisfactory. He asked all the departments to further carry on their work with missionary zeal and contribute in this great service towards humanity.
