Bandaru Dattatreya interacts with DC's regarding Covid-19

Governor Bandaru Dattatraya today interacted with Deputy Commissioners of Chamba and Kinnaur districts through video-conferencing to know about the special arrangements  and precautionary measures being under taken for Covid-19 virus.The Governor said that necessary steps have been taken by the state government and appropriate guidelines  were also being given from time to time. He asked the Deputy Commissioners to spread more awareness and said that special attention should be given on cleanliness  particularly in public places. He added that rumours should also be avoided and foreign tourists especially coming from virus affected countries should be examined  properly.Deputy Commissioner of Kinnaur Gopal Chand apprised the Governor that guidelines given by the state government were being followed and an isolation ward has been  set up in Reckong Peo to deal with any adverse situation. He said that tourists were being monitored and their health check-ups were being done. Extensive arrangements have  been made for masks and sanitizers and people were being made aware in every village through Mahila Mandals, he added.Deputy Commissioner, Chamba Vivek Bhatia said  that the guidelines of the government have been publicized up to the panchayat level. Major locations were being sanitized. He said that the foreign tourists has been kept on  isolation and were being allowed to go only after thorough screening. Police administration and medical personnel have also being engaged in this campaign and the Rapid  Response Team was investigating the hotels and homestay units. In addition to this, nomad cattlemen were also being screened and door to door awareness campaign was  being organized in the district.Secretary to Governor Rakesh Kanwar was also present on the occasion.
