District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today reviewed the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 here at a joint meeting of District and Tehsil Level Committee (DLC) members.The meeting was attended by ADDC Nawab Din; ACR, Dhrinder Sharma; ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu; District Social Welfare Officer, Waheed- ur-Rehman; AD Food Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs (FCS&CA), besides Tehsildars, BDOs, TSOs  and others.DDC impressed upon the FCS&CA and other concerned departments to accelerate the data purification and de-duplication exercise to prepare fool proof and error free detailed date backup for effective implementation of scheme in the district.The DDC also reviewed number of beneficiaries in the district and those excluded from the scheme as per the income criteria. The reports of verification and necessary correction in bulk authentication, number of beneficiaries registered under same Ration Card (RC) or Aadhaar number, interstate duplication, silent  RCs, AAY RCs- with more than 10 or less than 3 members  and various other points pertaining to scheme were also reviewed in detail.The DDC directed the officers to activate the Village Vigilance Committees (VVC) constituted for every fair price shop (FPS). The meeting of all  VVCs is scheduled for March 17 M.Officers were also directed to conduct Tehsil and Village Level committee meetings regularly in their respective jurisdictions to ensure purification and digitization of data.
