Agriculture Department flags off 25 Kulgam farmers to exposure visit

With an aim to provide exposure to the growers of valley and to aware them of modern trends and technologies in the field of Agriculture, the department of Agriculture, Kulgam today flagged-off a group of 25 progressive farmers for exposure tour under Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) programme.During the tour, the participating farmers will be familiarized, by practical demonstration, with advanced techniques in Agriculture, cultivation of different crops with respect to the best management of cultural practices, pre and post-harvest management techniques and marketing.Chief Agriculture Officer, Kulgam, Nasir Ahmad Lone urged the participating farmers to take full advantage of the tour by interacting with the experts and counterparts to have the latest knowledge and knowhow about the innovative techniques of farming.Besides others, senior officers and field functionaries of the district were present on the occasion.
