DC Baramulla chairs coronavirus sensitization programmes

As part of its efforts towards disseminating the necessary information about the deadly coronavirus, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo today chaired two separate sensitization programmes at Baramulla and Pattan in which BDC chairpersons, PRI representatives among other stakeholders participated.On the occasion, a detailed discussion on the subject was held wherein CMO Baramulla briefed the participants about the various preventive measures that need to be taken. It was informed that different Committees having representatives from several departments have been constituted at various levels.Speaking on the occasion, DC stressed upon the participants to play a proactive role in the campaign by educating people in their respective areas about the novel coronavirus. He also directed them to identify all such persons who have the travel history from the affected regions. Moreover, DC urged upon the people to adopt all prescribed preventive measures and cooperate with the authorities so that any kind of eventuality is tackled smoothly.SSP Baramulla Abdul Quyoom, ADC Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, officers of civil and police administration, various medical functionaries were also present on the occasion.
