Ensure 100% expenditure till March end: DDC Ganderbal

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal today chaired a meeting to review the progress registered under District CAPEX Budget and Back to Village  Programme. The meeting was attended by ADC Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO Ganderbal, ACD Ganderbal, SE, R&B, SE, PDD, Executive Engineers of PMGSY and PHE  and other concerned district and sectoral officers.The DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements registered by Education, Health, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, PWD,  PHE, PDD, RDD, Forest, Agriculture, Horticulture and other departments under CAPEX Budget. While reviewing the performance of the departments, the DDC directed them to  ensure 100% expenditure of budget allocation under CAPEX till March end.During the meeting it was revealed that 42% expenditure against availability has been incurred till  ending February, 2020 in regular schemes. The meeting was informed that under Capex Budget, an amount of  701.11 lakh have been utilized till ending February 2020 and Rs  2279.35  lakh has been  released under various ongoing schemes and developmental projects.It was further informed that under the Back to Village Programme phase-I, 133  works have been taken up for the execution which are at various stages of completion.Later, DDC chaired another meeting with the concerned officers to review the  implementation of centrally sponsored schemes and progress registered in the district.The DDC reviewed the implementation of the schemes under different departments  including fisheries, Social Welfare, Labour, health, EDI, KVIB, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, H&UD, Education and ICDS.The schemes that were reviewed include Ayushman  Bharat, PMMVY, NRLM, BBBP, PM JAN Dhan Yojna, PM Mudra Yojna, Old Age Pension Scheme and  PMAY.Underscoring the need for proper implementation of centrally  Schemes, the DDC said that there is a need for generating awareness among the masses about the schemes so that the benefits reach the targeted sections of the society in an  efficient manner.
