Public Interaction held on ‘Ground Water Related Issues’

Central Ground Water Board Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Ministry of Jal Shakti Jammu today conducted one day Public Interaction programme (PIP) on “Ground Water Related Issues’” here at Mishriwala.The PIP programme was aimed to make aware the local people, youths, farmers and other nearby villagers about the importance of conservation of Ground water and issues related to it.Regional Director, CGWB, NWHR Jammu, Ashok Kumar, while addressing the gathering, emphasised upon importance of management of water, saving it for future and make rain water harvesting tanks in the Village. He also desired that the participants should transmit the information gathered to make a chain for this noble cause.Sarpanch, Mishriwala, Pallavi Verma and   Nayab Sarpanch, Subhjeet Singh were the main guests.The event witnessed delivery of lectures on various aspects of Ground water Issues and management   by resources persons Vidya Nand Negi,   Jitesh Tatiwal, K.S Rawat and Rayees Peer Ahmad- all Scientists of Central Ground Water Board, Jammu. Anchoring was done by Himesh Pandya (Scientist).Registration of all participants was done by Parvej Ahamad (Scientist), Partho Mondal (STA Chemical) and Amit (MTS)
