DDC reviews progress of ICDS & establishment of new industrial estates in Anantnag

The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Dar today reviewed functioning of ICDS department and establishment of new industrial estates in two separate meeting.The DDC directed SDMs of DORU, Pahalgam, Bijbehara and Genral Manager Industries Anantnag to fence the identified state land of 500 kanals at Arddehrun , 430 kanals at shankerpora  100 kanals at  Mehmood abad, 400 Kanals at  Hakura, 250 kanals at Marhama Dodu, 800 kanals at Rakhi Momen Danji ,192 kanals at Hasanoor and 195 kanals at Nowpora.He asked for following the legal process in the buildup area at Shankerpora, Nowpora and to cut down the illegal plantation in these areas to ensure transfer of land to the industries department to create the land bank as envisaged in the industrial policy of 2016.The DDC said that a committee will be set up to spot verification and transfer of the above mentioned patchs of land   to industries department under the chairmanship of ADDC and GM industries, SDMS concerned tesildars, Naib-tehsildars and patwaries will be members of the committee responsible for removal of encroachments. The meeting was attended by the ADDC, GM Industries ADC, SDMs of Doru , Pahalgam , Bijbehara,ACR, DFO social forestry and concerned Tesildars.In a separate meeting, it was informed that the district has eight ICDS projects with 2227 AWCS out of which 2205 centres are operational.The DDC directed the CDPOs to achieve targets and to conduct awareness programmes on Beti Bachow Beti Padhoa(BBBP), on mission mode and also asked for submitting action plan for requirements for Aanganwadi Centres so that a joint committee of officers of concerned departments can be framed to meet the requirements.The meeting was attended by programme officer ICDS, JD planning and CDPOS of all blocks of the districts.
