Aruna Chaudhary hands over appointed letter to Pulwama terror attack Martyr’s brother

Punjab Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Aruna Chaudhary today handed over an appointed letter to Mr. Lakhvish Singh, brother of Pulwama terror attack  Martyr Maninder Singh Attri here at Punjab Civil Secretariat, sector-1, Chandigarh.Mrs. Chaudhary has fulfilled her promise, which she has made few days back, that CRPF  Constable Lakhvish Singh would be appointed on the same rank in Punjab Police and he will soon get appointment letter.The Minister reiterated the Punjab government is  committed to accord top priority to the welfare of the families of the martyrs, who made supreme sacrifice while guarding the country’s borders in line of their duty and fighting the  terrorism in various parts of the country. She categorically said that we will always be remained indebted to the martyrs for their exemplary bravery and heroic deeds.She further  said that recently various welfare schemes had been introduced for the welfare of martyrs’ families such as financial assistance for medical treatment, family of personnel dying  while on duty, sustenance allowance to widows till their regular pension starts, higher education for the children of widows, coaching classes for professional courses, tool kit for  self employment ventures and financial assistance for marriage of daughters of Ex-servicemen. Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary also assured every possible help to the family.It is pertinent  to mention that prior to this job, Lakhvish Singh was a constable deputed with 153 battalion of the CRPF in Assam and later he was transferred to the 13 battalion in Fatehgarh  Sahib.
