Red Cross ‘Life Time Membership’ drive launched in Ramban

District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan, who is also the Chairman of District Red Cross Society (DRCS), today launched ‘Life Time Membership’ Campaign and reviewed the functioning of the District Red Cross Society, here at a meeting.The meeting was attended by CMO, Dr. Janak Raj; CEO, Vinod Koul; DSWO, Waheed –ur- Rehman;  Executive Secretary, DRCC, Javiad Naik; Honorary Treasurer, GA, Qureshi and  Accountant, Aamir Firoz of IRCS J&K. The DDC asked the concerned to encourage the people for taking life time membership of Red Cross Society to become part of the noble cause of serving the masses. He directed the concerned officers for creating awareness about the role of Red Cross society, so that more people are associated with it.A threadbare discussion was held on issues pertaining to functioning of DRCS, including fund raising, functioning of Trauma Centre Ramban, availability of rescue equipments and essential material, availability of Red Cross ambulance, strengthening of Red Cross teams working in different blocks of district.The DDC interacted with the Red Cross volunteers of Ramban and Banihal and appreciated them for their services during emergencies occurring on and off in district particularly during road accidents and natural calamities in last couples of years.esponding to the issues of fund generation, the DDC stressed on making concerted efforts to raise funds for the society and enlarging the corpus of volunteers for strengthening the functioning of the society in the district.
