Youth should not rely on social media while making decisions : Suresh Bhardwaj

Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj while addressing young citizens in the 10th Bhartiya Chatra Sansad at New Delhi today said that education opens doors of vast knowledge and the process of education enables learning of skills and honing inherent talents. Highlighting the importance of education, he said that the basic objective of education is to become good citizen and to become successful in our professional and personal lives. Learning is enjoyment, he added.Education Minister delivered lecture on the topic 'Learn before you lean: Following social media and celebrities' in the second session of  the event which is being organised from 20th to 23rd February  at Vigyan Bhavan New Delhi by Rahul Karad, Founder and Convenor of Bhartya Chatra Sansad (BCS). Suresh Bhardwaj said that social media has many benefits like connectivity, easy access but also there is a need to exercise caution while using this tool. We should learn to understand difference between real and virtual life. He also said that sometimes social media spread misinformation and fake news etc. and we should be careful about it.Education Minister urged the youth to preserve their own identity and uniqueness and not to rely too much on Social media while making decisions.He lauded the efforts of Rahul Karad and added that debates and discussions are backbone of democracy. The idea of Bhartya Chatra Sansad is very interesting, he added.
