The District Development Commissioner, Kupwara, Anshul Garg today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of works made under Back to Village Programme 2019-20 and Border Area Development Plan(BADP).Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Development, District Panchayat Officer, CEO, CAHO, Executive Engineer PHE Kupwara, Assistant Directors of Hanloom& Handicrafts and representatives of Health, Power Department and other concerned attended the meeting.The meeting wasinformed that 274 works at a cost of Rs.5.18 crorewere taken up under Back to VilllageProgrammme Phase-II by 7 departments which include Power, RDD, R&B, Health, Education, Animal Husbandry and PHE.It was given out that under power sector, improvement of LT and HT network was taken up in Kupwara and Handwara divisions at a cost of Rs.4.23 crore out of which Rs.2.52 crore have been expended against completion of 100 sub-works.While under Rural Development sector 22 works out of 36 have been completed against an expenditure of Rs29.12 lakh and 2 works under R&B have been taken up against a cost of Rs.14.80 lakh, besides, 6 works have been undertaken by Health department at a cost of Rs.7.80 lakh and 6 works under Education, Animal Husbandry and PHE have been taken up at a cost of Rs.10.42 lakh.The DDC directed the concerned executing agenciesfor timely completion of the ongoing works.He also took a detailed review of progress made on works under BADP and directed the concerned agencies for timely completion of the projects being executed under the scheme.
