DDC Shopian reviews functioning of revenue department Asks officers to intensify anti-encroachment drive

District Development Commissioner, Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin today convened a meeting of officer to the functioning of revenue department in the district.The meeting was attended by ADC, Dr. Abdul Aziz, ACR, Tehsilders and Naib Tehsildars.While reviewing the progress Jamabandi writing, the DDC informed that 187 Jambandis out of 240 have been completed and the leftover Jambandis will be completed by March 15. The meeting was informed that the scanning and quality check of revenue records under DLRMP program is in progress.It was given out that as per record out of 58960 kanalsof Kahcharie land in 7983 Assamies 18237 kanalshave been expunged in newly prepared jamabandieswhile out of 78075 Kanals State land in 3386 Assamies, 12680 kanalsstand expunged.During the meeting the officers briefed the District Development commissioner about the eviction of encroachment on State and Kahcharieland,status of digitization process of land records under (DILRMP), updation and writing of Jamabandis, Girdawaris, attestation of pending mutations, collection of fees and pending court cases.The DDC exhorted the officers to work in mission mode for removing encroachments and furnish the report on regular basis to the concerned quarters.
