MP and DC describe JNV as Centre of Excellence for shaping destiny of country

Lok Sabha Member from Jalandhar Chaudhary Santokh Singh and Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Mr Varinder Kumar Sharma today described Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalas as Centre of Excellence for transforming the destiny of the country.Addressing the gathering on the sidelines of annual function of the prestigious educational institution here today, the Lok Sabha MP and Deputy Commissioner said that the schools, which were brain child of former Prime Minister of India Mr Rajiv Gandhi, were playing a major role in shaping the destiny of the students. They said that the schools have covered a long way for imparting quality education to the bright students especially from the Rural areas. They also assured fulsome support and cooperation to the school management for the noble cause of imparting quality education.The MP and Deputy Commissioner said that the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalyas were acting as a catalyst for ensuring quality education to the students. They said that besides giving quality education the schools were also playing a key role in cementing national integration and social fabric in the country. They said that the students of Navodaya were playing a key role in socio-economic prosperity of the country.The MP and Deputy Commissioner also lauded the teaching fraternity for grooming the students in an excellent manner for ensuring their holistic development. They said that this was need of the hour to prepare the students for competition in the international arena. They also said that it was heartening to see that the students were not only ahead in academic activities but were marching forward in extra co-curricular activities.The MP and Deputy Commissioner also laid thrust in inculcating moral values amongst the students getting education in these schools. They said that it would enable the students to become a good citizen and a fine human being of the country. They also called upon the students to play their role well for making India a front runner country in the globe.On the occasion MP also announced a grant worth Rs 10 lakh for the school from his MPLAD fund and Rs 5 lakh for the development of the village.Earlier, Principal of the school Mr Ashok Kumar Ladhhar and others felicitated the MP and Deputy Commissioner.
