DPEO Shopian reviews preparedness of Panchayat Bye-Elections

District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO), Shopian, Choudhary Mohammad Yasin, today convened a meeting of nodal officers to review the status of preparedness for forthcoming Panchayat election for vacant Panch and Sarpanch seats in the district.The meeting discussed various aspects of the preparations for the Panchayat elections including security, transportation plan, complaint redressal mechanism, and training of polling staff.The meeting also discussed the preparedness with regard to election expenditure and media monitoring. The DPEO impressed upon the nodal officers to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in time.During the meeting, the DPEO focused on the finalizing and implementation of election strategies for Panchayat elections in the districtAmong others, the meeting was attended by ACR Shopian, DPO Shopian, Nodal officers and other concerned officers.
